A web phenomenon, search marketers are switching onto the power of blogs and increasingly including them in their search engine optimisation strategy. As an online journal, blogs are powerful marketing tools and can be leveraged for SEO purposes in a number of ways. They are a more informal medium than many web site marketing tools and as such, reach the target audience in a number of different ways.

Before you go out and build a blog, you should understand what blogging is. Blogs are very similar to web site building, except for the fact that your web site pages are more seo friendly and stay longer in the search engines.

A blog is not the same as a web site. The posting are presenting prospects with interesting bits of information about your topic or products. Posting regular will get
the attention of your market and build interest in your product and establish your expertise.

Blogs are mainstream. Many businesses are starting to see the value of a blog: instant communication with their customers, and for new businesses, and better Internet visibility with faster indexing in the main search engines, like Google.

Most websites are static, which means that once your content is published, you then have to figure out ways of getting people to visit your site. A blog, on the other hand, offers many dynamic features which can help to automatically drive visitors to your site.

Select a blog site. Some bloggers post their blog on their personal server or web site. Others choose a web site with free web hosting or a free blog provider such as Blogger or WordPress. When you choose where to publish your blog, remember that free templates offered by blog platforms offer a distinct advantage. You must decide which blog host or web site fits your blog design.

While both of these types of social networks still exist, and flourish, a blog offers a sense of instant gratification for both the original author and for those posting their comments. Also, as mentioned before, a blog is, in most cases, far more personal to the author and/or web site which began the discussion.

Blogs help you to be profitable because they allow you to market your products and services without using overt sales messages that may cause prospects to stop visiting your site. Instead, you use blogs to communicate information and subtly promote your own products and services while you help others.

There is a major trend occurring on the web and it is bound to have a dramatic and lasting effect on how you do business. That trend is the use of a blog. Without a doubt the era of the blog as a money making enterprise is here and here to stay. Either jump on the bandwagon or be left standing on the sideline.

Blooging, like no other tool, levels the playing field so that the little guy can compete and even beat and dominate the big guy. Blogs are free to set up in most instances and provide a powerful and immediate way to communicate.
