I don't care how old you are, it's necessary to spend some time daily or weekly to engage in some form of exercise, if you want to prevent diabetes. You see, inactivity has been noticed as a very likely cause of diabetes. So, prevent this by engaging in lots of exercises daily or certain number of times weekly.

Being obedient can keep you alive, even if you have diabetes type II. By being obedient here I mean listening to and doing everything your doctor tells you to do. If your doctor says you shouldn't eat a certain type of food or drink a certain type of liquid, listen to him. He knows better and is doing all he can to ensure you don't die from the illness. The least you can do is cooperate with your doctor.

If you get bored with eating the same kind of food to keep your blood glucose level under control, you can try other new foods but ensure that they are within the kind of food that's allowed for you. You can even make life exciting by taking a new cooking class with the purpose of learning how to make a special kind of food. Such things can help make life worthwhile, instead of boring, as it can be for some diabetic patients.

Here you will learn all there is to learn about diabetes, including the type of diet to stick to, what works and what doesn't work, the latest and best diabetes treatment and a host of other important things.

I know lots of people who had been diagnosed to have diabetes for over 10 years. Because they have dutifully changed their lifestyles, diet and consistently engaged in exercises, they are no different from every other person without diabetes. They look very healthy and very strong. You too can if you have diabetes just so far as you also change your lifestyle, diet and engage in lots of exercises.

Dairy products are good for diabetics. But ensure that the diary products are non-fat. These types of dairy products include skimmed milk. Non-fat cheese is also very good for diabetics. So also is yoghurt.
